LOTS OF LAUGHTER IN LEEK
Funhouse Comedy Club is back at Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek on Thursday July 4th with a night full of laughter.
Topping the bill is Carey Marx who has been a circuit favourite for years, mixing his own blend of dark humour with his mischievous and gleeful delivery. His wilful disregard for the controversial and delicate is tempered beautifully by his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places. This hilarious mix of edgy topics and playful gagsmithery can be seen at all the top clubs across the country.
Opening the night will International comedian Gordon Southern, nominated for both Amused Moose Laughter Awards and 'Best International Show' at the New Zealand Comedy Festival, as well as being nominated for best comedy at the Perth Fringe and he is very much in demand. His quick wit and buoyant delivery, along with his hilarious observational comedy and improvisation has his audiences fascinated and wanting for more.
Completing the line-up will be Pete Teckman who was crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self-deprecating and observational humour. He personifies the taking of difficult, painful situations in living and turning it into great comedy.
Compere for the night is the cheeky, chatty Dave Twentyman, who puts a big smile on everyone's face. Talking a lot about the subjects closer to home such as family life and friends.
