Tate Modern stands at the heart of London, linked to St Paul's Cathedral by the new millennium footbridge. The building is a remarkable combination of the old and the new.

Tate Modern hosts a permanent collection of contemporary and modern art from around the world, and also holds regular exhibitions. Over 13 million visitors have visited the Tate Modern since it opened in 2000, making it the world's most popular art museum.

The Restaurant on level 7, at the top of the building, has spectacular views over London.

Sunday to Thursday, 10.00-18.00

Friday and Saturday, 10.00-22.00

Last admission into exhibitions 17.15 (Fri and Sat 21.15)

Admission to the gallery is free, but donations from visitors are needed to support the gallery's work. You can also help by visiting the Shops, Cafe and restaurant or by joining Tate Members.
