The 2500 acre (1012ha) Wimpole Estate, situated eight miles south west of Cambridge, offers visitors the chance to visit: a house built mainly in the 18th Century; landscaped park; gardens and Home Farm. First built in 1643 and much altered by subsequent owners, Wimpole has developed into the largest country house in Cambridgeshire.

There are many walks at Wimpole which can be varied at will: over the lakes to the Folly; through the woodland belts to look across open farmland sweeping north towards Cambridge. Wimpole parkland abounds with wildlife nothing spectacular but enjoyable to see on the walk.

Family activity days are run by the Education Department throughout the year and provide plenty to keep all the family occupied. They take place on the Home Farm on Bank holiday Mondays and most Wednesdays during the school holidays. Please phone 01223 206000 to confirm the details.
