Britain's greatest Mediaeval experience at Warwick Castle. castle was created as a fortification in AD 914, to protect the small hilltop settlement from Danish invaders who posed a threat to the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia. You are able to explore the Castle with towers, dungeons and state rooms. There is also a number of exhibitions featuring waxworks, making this a great day out for children as well as adults who are interested in history.

Enter the spooky Ghost Tower, and hear the chilling tale of the murder of Sir Fulke Greville, whose restless soul is said to haunt these rooms, or venture underground to the eerie silence of the Dungeon or into the grisly Torture Chamber.

Warwick Castle is open all year except Christmas Day.

Summer: 10am - 6pm

Winter (October - March): 10am - 5pm

Last admission is half an hour before closing.
