Availability: At least one weekday per month, with more dates between April and October. Please be aware that experiences do not operate at weekends. Weather: Motor racing may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow or ice) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Duration: You'll be at the circuit for about an hour, including in-car safety and racing-line briefing, tuition and driving time. Numbers On Day: Your briefing is shared with a maximum of 10 other participants. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch from the specially-designed balcony over the pits. Children must be closely supervised at all times. The Flying Club cafe offers excellent food and refreshments. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and slim, flat-soled shoes, as the pedals in these cars are close together. Don't wear nylon. A helmet will be provided or you can bring your own if you have one. Guidelines: From London A3, take A286 to Haslemere. After Singleton village, turn left past Goodwood Racecourse, following brown signs to Goodwood House. Drive past the house, across mini-roundabout and into the aerodrome on your right. From Southampton and Brighton take A27 to Chichester, again following signs to Goodwood House and the aerodrome is on your left. At the airfield go under the circuit and follow the road left all the way to 'Mithril Racing'. Restrictions: Minimum height is 5'1'', maximum is 6'3''. Maximum weight is 18 stone. You'll need to be a confident driver with a full manual driving licence - bring it with you on the day. Other Info: Formula Ford 2000 single-seaters are F1-styled racing cars with open cockpits giving a real taste of racing. For safety, revs are limited. Time at the venue is relatively short (due to itinerary design) but driving time is no less than at other venues.

Start with two demonstration laps in an Alfa Romeo with a fully qualified instructor, who will show you how it's done. Then it's your turn to get to know the Goodwood race track with two familiarisation laps. Finally it's the real thing and expect to be fighting the will to oversteer as you grow accustomed to the super-responsive Formula Ford 2000 when you drive four laps in this single-seater racing car. End with a certificate presentation to commemorate the day.

Chichester, West Sussex
