Availability: Selected Saturdays throughout the year. The venue release dates two months in advance. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be on-site for up to three and a half hours from sign on to debrief, with 45 minutes driving time (split into three sessions of 15 minutes each). Numbers On Day: Briefings will be shared, the driver to instructor ratio is 4:1. Spectators: Each participating child must be accompanied by a spectating adult but other spectators are very welcome and there is a sheltered area available as well as an on-site cafe. Pets are not permitted at any circuit. Dress Code: Wear flat shoes which are comfortable for driving. A helmet will be provided. Guidelines: This site is easily accessible from M40. Southbound, exit junction 11, head to Banbury town centre then follow A361 for 7 miles to B4022 on left, then turn left at Duns Tew/Ledwell crossroads. Northbound, exit jct 8 and join A40 ringroad to A44 (Chipping Norton/Evesham) after 9 miles turn right onto B4022 Banbury/Tews, turn right at Duns Tew/Ledwell crossroads. Turn right signposted The Granary then follow a mile and a half single track road. Restrictions: Minimum age is 11, maximum is 17 (must be accompanied by a spectating adult). After a safety briefing from a qualified instructor, driving ability is assessed as the youngster gets behind the wheel of a rally car. The instructor will, as necessary, give pointers on fundamental skills, braking and clutch control to ensure full command of the car. Particularly confident drivers get the chance to try more complicated rally driving manoeuvres such as lift-off and handbrake turns. There'll be plenty of time to hone skills, as all drivers get three 15 minute driving sessions each. To ensure a real taste of the action, at the end of the session the instructor will take over the wheel and complete an exhilarating high-speed run of the circuit.
