Availability: Llama treks are available all year round, any day of the week (with the exception of Christmas, Boxing and New Year's Days). We recommend booking with at least several weeks advance notice for the most popular peak summer weekend dates. Weather: Treks are only cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions. Please call the centre before leaving if in any doubt. Duration: Lasts for around two hours. Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. The trek cannot be held up and latecomers risk forfeit their place. Numbers On Day: Share the experience with up to four others, plus your llama and guide. Spectators: Only paying guests may attend. Dogs are not permitted. Dress Code: Dress for a walk in the country, in long trousers, sturdy waterproof clothes and footwear, plus a hat on a cold day. Some spare wellies, rain capes and gaiters are kept at the farm for use by customers just in case. Guidelines: Catanger is located just outside the village of Lois Weedon on the Wappenham Road. Look out for the sign in the gateway and follow the drive down to the buildings. Restrictions: Minimum age is 12. All participants must be reasonably fit and able to walk several miles (around three and a half to four). There is disabled access to the visitor centre. Other Info: Please note, it is not possible to ride the llamas. They are trusting creatures and must be treated with respect at all times. Lunch is not included.

Plus, their gentle presence makes them a pleasure to be around! To begin, receive an introduction to llamas in the park and breeding centre's log cabin. Once ready, head out on a guided two hour trek across a stunning mixture or arable, pasture and woodland with your newfound friend alongside to carry any rucksacks or cameras. After the trek, head to the farm to get up close and personal with some resident llama mothers and babies and explore the visitor centre and gift shop, (which offers some great 'llamarabilia')! Afterwards, feel free to enjoy a relaxing picnic in the farm or sample one of the local inn's.
