Availability: Tuesday - Saturday all year round (closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day). There's usually more availability on weekdays. Saturdays, are always busy - please book at least four weeks in advance. Weather: Aerobatic flying is very weather dependent. It is crucial to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is cancelled because of bad weather, an be an alternative date or time will be arranged. Duration: Chocks-off to chocks-on flight time is 20 minutes, but please allow for longer at the centre. Numbers On Day: Briefings may be shared. The flight itself is held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch take-off and landing. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: Exit the M25 at J26 onto the A121 Loughton. At the Old Orleans roundabout take the B172, follow signs to Theydon Bois. Continue through the village towards Abridge and turn left at the T-junction. Follow signs to Stapleford Airfield, the airport is on your right. Restrictions: Min age 16. Max weight 14 stone. Max height 6'2''. Pregnant women or anyone who has suffered a neck, back or shoulder injury can't fly for health and safety reasons. For security reasons, photographic id (ideally a passport) MUST be produced on the day. Other Info: We suggest that you only have a very light meal or don't eat at all before the flight (a hearty meal beforehand may make you feel nauseous). Similarly, please don't drink alcohol before flying - it will make you sick.

Begin on solid ground with a detailed safety briefing, followed by a talk on personal requirements (from gentle to jaw-dropping!) to help the pilot tailor the flight and ensure the best possible session. Then climb aboard a high performance British Slingsby Firefly for take-off. Once in the air, the experienced pilot will show just what this nimble craft can do, completing an exhilarating aerobatic sequence, including loop the loops, barrel rolls and stall turns at 150 mph and 2,000 feet above the ground. During the flight, get the chance to take control of the craft to feel the true exhilaration of flying a plane.
