Availability: Can be booked from 2 March until 3 November, Saturday to Thursday (excluding bank holidays). Weather: Cancelled only in extreme weather conditions such as heavy snow or torrential rain. The sanctuary will call you if they need to cancel the experience for any reason. Duration: Lasts for eight hours, starting at 8am and finishing at 4pm. Numbers On Day: This is an exclusive experience with you and the primate keeper. Spectators: This is not suitable for spectators. However you will receive a guest pass for free entry into the sanctuary for one person. The sanctuary is open to the public from 11am until 4pm and entry charges are £8 for adults and £5 for children. Dress Code: Please dress for the outdoors. Overalls, wellies and rubber gloves will be provided while cleaning enclosures. This is a hands on experience in a working environment and you should wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. Participants need to be able bodied as the experience involves a degree of manual labour and much of the area covered is not wheelchair accessible. Other Info: Please note that there will be no physical contact with the monkeys, as the sanctuary like them to live in as natural an environment as possible, with minimal human contact.

Assist the team with cleaning out the woolly monkeys, meet the capuchins and hear about their backgrounds. Take a well-deserved lunchbreak at the Tree Top Cafe, after which you will help prepare the woolly monkeys lunchtime fruit bowl, pick wild leaves from the Victorian gardens and get involved in monkey enrichment. After a quick coffee break, learn how to make a capuchin fruit bowl. Take home a t shirt, a certificate and photos of the monkeys you have met, as well as one year free membership of The Sanctuary which includes a welcome pack, monkey photos and a badge, plus newsletters throughout the year.
