Plant World Houses
Plant World, located between Torquay and Newton Abbot in beautiful South Devon, offers an outstanding collection of rare and exotic plants from around the world. The 4 acres of landscaped gardens has been called Devon's 'Little Outdoor Eden'. Representing each of the five continents it offers an extensive collection of indigenous trees, shrubs and flowers. A large mature cottage garden and mediterranean garden completes the collection.
Established in 1985, Plant World is the culmination of a plantsman's vision, and has been featured on BBC's Gardeners World, ITV's Gardens for All, and Channel 4's Bloom. Magnificent views over the Teign Valley from Dartmoor to the sea provide the incredible backdrop to what will surely be a memorable visit.
Open 9. 30am - 5pm 7 days a week from April to mid October, Plant World will delight the discerning gardener and bring pleasure to lovers of plants and gardens everywhere.
Small self-service cafe with refreshments and picnic area is available. Free parking and entry into the nursery, free garden entry for children. .
