Great Dixter Houses
Great Dixter is the family home of Christopher Lloyd, who has devoted his lifetime to creating one of the most experimental, exciting and constantly changing gardens of our time. Incorporating many medieval buildings, the gardens surround the house, each complementing the other.
One of the pleasant features about the gardens is that they lie all around the house. Make a circuit of the gardens and you have made a circuit of the house exterior.
House and gardens are open until 30 October, Tuesday-Sunday, 2.00 to 5.00pm (last admission) and Bank Holiday Mondays. The gardens only will be open at the earlier time of 11.00am on the Sunday and Monday of Bank Holiday weekends only.
Admission
House and gardens: Adults £6.50, children £2.
Gardens only: Adults £5, children £1.50.
