The Household Cavalry Museum collection relates to The Life Guards (1st and 2nd), Horse Grenadier Guards, Royal Horse Guards (Blues), 1st Royal Dragoons (Royals) and The Blues and Royals, covering over three hundred years of the history of the Sovereign's mounted bodyguard.

The collection contains Uniforms, Weapons, Standards, Guidons, Drum Banners, Horse Furniture, Campaign and Gallantry Medals, Regimental Medals from the 17th Century. Silver, including Silver Kettledrums presented to the 2nd Life Guards by William IV, hallmarked and dated 1831, and many other personal gifts from the Monarchy such as Oil Paintings, Water Colours, Prints and many other curios of the Regiments. .
