Elizabethan House Museum Museums
In this splendid quayside house visitors can experience the lives of families who lived here from Tudor to Victorian times. Of particular interest is the Conspiracy Room, where the trial and execution of King Charles I were allegedly plotted. There are Tudor costumes to try on, and discoveries to be made through hands-on activities about 'upstairs and downstairs' Victorian life, including what it was like to work in the kitchen and scullery.
Pay & display car park behind house, run by the Borough Council. Not reserved for visitors and spaces may not always be available.
