Discover how Norwich found fame and fortune producing mustard, shoes, textiles, chocolate and beer. Once a prison for women and beggars (a 'Bridewell'), this delightful museum is now home to a wonderful collection of historic objects and machinery revealing how Norwich people earned their living.

Ponder the mysterious potions in the recreated pharmacy with its rows of colourful bottles and packets. Visit the Pawnbroker's shop and the Smithy. See a marvellous display of shoes - all made in the city.

Admire the stunning Victorian fire engine and the huge 17th century Jacquard loom, which was used to weave the famous Norwich shawls. .
