This triangular building was designed and built by Sir Thomas Tresham between 1593 and 1597. The Lodge is a testament to Tresham's Roman Catholicism: the number three, symbolising the Holy Trinity, is apparent everywhere.

Triangular Lodge is situated 1 mile W of Rushton, on unclassified road 3miles from Desborough on A6 (OS Map 141; ref SP 830831)

Access to monument and grounds: Three steps to ticket office. Access within Lodge not possible for wheelchair users; however, the main interest of the building is its exterior. Spiral staircase to upper floor may be difficult for ambulant disabled visitors. Smooth grass in grounds with impacted gravel paths.
