Kew Bridge Steam Museum is housed in a magnificent 19th Century Pumping Station and centres around the station's five world famous Cornish Beam Engines, two of which can be seen, in steam, every weekend.

In 2005, our popular Tower Open Days are being incorporated with special Behind The Scenes tours of the museum, and being made available on the first Saturday of the month, from

April to September. Tours start at 13:30, and places are very limited, so pre-booking is essential. Special admission prices apply for Tower Open Day & Behind The Scenes Tours.

Built in 1867 and standing 196ft high, the tower is a well known West London landmark, with views as far Canary Wharf in the City of London, the London Eye and the Dome on a clear day.

Those with a hardy constitution will be able to climb the 261 steps to the top of the tower and experience views of London.

However, due to the nature of the handrails inside the tower, children are not permitted to climb the tower.
