The National Birds of Prey Centre is open from 1st February until the 31st October annually. The centre houses on of the most significant collections of Birds of Prey in the UK with over 60 species of Owls, Eagles and Hawks. The Centre has played a major part in the captive breeding of many species and continues to be involved in breeding and conservation of many important species, with new species laying eggs each year.

Most of the birds that fly at the daily demonstrations are home bred birds and many have worked here over several generations, which again gives unique insight into the birds physical and mental being.

The Centre is open to the public for nine months of the year. We only close from November to January at which time we do vital cleaning and maintenance jobs. During this time the bird and office staff still work a normal week so you can still contact us. Surprisingly the winter flying team of birds are still flown daily.

FLYING TIMES

We do three flying demonstrations daily subject to weather. During inclement weather the demonstrations may take place in doors.

Summer 12:00, 2:00 and 4:00

Winter 12:30 and 3:00
