Family in the Frame NEWS
6 from one family get together to celebrate their work
Six women from one family (5 sisters and one of the next generation) will be exhibiting their paintings in a rustic Buckinghamshire barn art gallery from Saturday 25 to Friday 31 Oct 2014.
This is a free art show, open to all visitors, during the October half term.
On display will be oils, acrylics and watercolours. The artists are based around the country and their family gatherings often involve colour, creativity, sketchbooks, canvases and paints.
Although there are strong family resemblances across the artists themselves, their styles are quite individual creating an art show with wide appeal. Rich oil paintings are complimented by delicate watercolours. Acrylics and mixed media approaches provide vibrancy and striking impact.
During the event artists will be demonstrating their painting and sketching skills.
For visitors who enjoy plein air painting themselves, the Barn Gallery location offers a fabulous environment for anyone with some interesting rustic agricultural buildings and artefacts on site. Children's activities will also be available.
Venue:
Easy to find on the A418 between Aylesbury and Leighton Buzzard. The gallery is in an 'off the beaten track' barn that will be well signposted.
Open from 11am-6pm
Saturday 25 to Friday 31 Oct 2014.
