Famous Lead Singer of 70s Band - Woodmansey's U-Boat - Phil Murray plays Poole

Famous lead singer from 1970s band - Woodmansey's U-Boat -Phil Murray and his band U-Boat headline intimate charity gig at The King Charles Poole, Dorset on Sunday 14th June 2015.

Phil Murray was lead singer of 70s band, 'Woodmansey's U-Boat, which was formed after the demise of David Bowie's band 'Spiders From Mars'.

Phil Murray's U-Boat as now called, headlines an intimate charity multi band event on Sunday 14th June, being held at The King Charles Pub, Poole.

Event runs from 4PM until 11PM.

The band now consist of frontman Phil, bassist Ilbert Stubbs, who toured the world three times with Uli Jon Roth (ex Scorpions) in a band called Electric Sun, back in the day and drummer Chris Peters. The trio perform one of the best Bowie / Ziggy Stardust Tributes, along with Glam Rock hits and regardless of being a local intimate venue, these guys are true Pros. the show is almost theatrical. Of course, they are more accustomed to the larger stage setting.

For 2015 they have been touring the UK, pubs, clubs, music venues, some theatre, even restaurants. They have a bigger plan and invite tour managers, large scale promoters to get the bigger show on the road, likely to tour Europe and USA later.

Despite some media articles of recent years, which appear to not know the whereabouts of Phil Murray, when they talk about the history of Bowie and Woodmansey's U-Boat, these media sites should update with the present knowledge they are alive and kicking and playing the UK.

A little coincidental is the same day Phil is playing Poole, Woodmansey himself is playing Boscombe, both only a couple of miles apart.
