Sacha Baron Cohen was escorted off the Oscars red carpet for his latest publicity stunt, dressed as The Dictator, he emptied Kim Jong-il's 'ashes' on the red carpet and all over Ryan Seacrest.

At the Oscars ceremony last night, Baron Cohen appeared in his Dictator costume with two female bodyguards, carrying a golden urn which apparently held the ashes of North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-il.

Baron Cohen then emptied the urn over the red carpet and reporter Ryan Seacrest.

Baron Cohen was escorted off the red carpet but was allowed to pose for photographs.

Baron Cohen had been involved in a battle with the Academy all last week after they objected to his plan to appear in character at the Oscars. The actor responded by accusing the Academy of being 'Zionists'.
