The close friend of the Duchess of Cambridge spoke to New Idea magazine who said that the royal couple will be announcing their news next month ending numerous rumours and speculation.

Jessica Hay claimed that the Duchess had gained weight recently and that the couple had been focusing on trying for a family for sometime and two children was their wish.

Kate's mate, who was a guest at the Royal Wedding, reportedly told the Aussie magazine that Kate would like a boy first but also said:#quote# It seems very traditional, but of course they'll be happy with two boys or two girls, they don't want more. They've discussed it endlessly and don't want to be older parents.#/quote#

An official from The Palace has refused to comment on the rumours saying: 'We do not comment on speculation'

Let's all hope that the rumours are true, what a wonderful Christmas present for the young royals.
