Kate Middleton to visit 'The Shire'

Kate Middleton is rumoured to be joining the Royal family as they meet the cast of 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' at the Royal UK Premiere screening in December.



The Duchess of Cambridge may be having to stoop down low to rub shoulders with the cast of 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' at the Royal screening event on Wednesday 12 December in London.

The cast members of the film are likely to be meeting members of the Royal family, which could possibly include, The Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

As part of the 65th Royal Film Performance, it is rumoured that the entire Royal family are expected to visit 'The Shire'before the film is released on 14 December.

Peter Jackson's epic movie 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey', will be screened two days before it's release in cinemas at a benefit evening for the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF), a trade charity that provides care and financial support to the industries families and employees who suffer from hardship.

Anne Bennett, CTBF president said: 'We are thrilled to be able to host the UK premiere of this highly-anticipated first instalment of 'The Hobbit' trilogy. We are thankful to Peter Jackson and Warner Bros,. New Line and MGM for providing this opportunity, and are grateful for the unswerving support the Royal Family gives to our charity and the Royal Film Performance.'

The CTBF president went on to say that the funds raised on the evening will 'make a huge difference to the lives of many less fortunate colleagues.'

The president and managing director of Warner Bros. UK., Ireland and Spain, Josh Berger added: 'It's fitting that this film, with a significant number of British cast and crew, will help support the great work the CTBF does for those in need in the UK's film and television community.'

The charity will be confirming which Royals will be in attendance at the Royal screening 'closer to the event'.
