Madonna has been named as No.1 in VH1's Greatest Women in Music', a poll that lists 100 women in music who have made a difference to the music industry in the last 20 years.

The pop queen has beaten off some of the most accomplished women in the music industry including rival Lady Gaga, Adele, the late Whitney Houston, new mum Beyonce and Janet Jackson.

This must come as welcome relief to Madonna, who is set to kick start her backbreaking world tour which starts in Tel Aviv on 29 May 2012, as she is being accused of stealing the chorus from her new single Gimme All Your Lovin' from Brazilian singer Joao Brasil's song' L.O.V.E Banana'.

The Brazilian singer is said to be honoured by the possible plagiarism as he is one of Madonna's biggest fans but has said It's in [the record label's] hands; they're looking at how to proceed and what they can do. But personally I don't want to do anything. The last thing I need in my life is a fight with Madonna. Reported Gigwise

Madonna's new single is taken from her new album MDNA which will be released on 26 March.

Tickets to see Madonna during the UK leg of her MDNA tour are available through www.britevents.com here: - http://www.britevents.com/tickets/madonna/
