No show from Kate at Pippa's book launch

Kate Middleton was noticeably missing at the launch of her sister Pippa's new party planning book 'Celebrate'. Pippa, who had no fewer than four different outfits for the launch, confessed it was due to her royal connections that her book had been released.

Kate Middleton's sister, Pippa made the most of her moment in the spotlight yesterday at the launch of her new party planning book 'Celebrate'.

The Middleton family turned out in force for this event in a Fulham book store, but noticeably missing from the family was Pippa's Royal sister Kate Middleton.

Kate was not allowed to be present at the book launch because Royals are not able to endorse any commercial enterprises.

Pippa who was accompanied by her younger brother James and her mum Carole and dad Michael, made the most of the day by having no fewer than four dress changes, which altogether cost a staggering £2,959.

The Duchess of Cambridge's' sister admitted that it was her connections with the royal family that had made the party planning book such a success, she did add that having a sister who will one day become the future Queen had its own problems.

Writing in her book 'Celebrate' Pippa said:

It's a bit startling to achieve global recognition (if that's the right word) before the age of thirty, on account of your sister, your brother-in-law and your bottom.'

'One day I might be able to make sense of this. In the meantime I think it's fair to say that it has its upside and downside.

'I certainly have opportunities many can only dream of - but in most ways I'm a typical girl in her 20's trying to forge a career and represent herself in what can sometimes seem rather strange circumstances.'

The launch of her entertaining book has reported to have earned the near Royal more than £400,000.
