Paul McCartney to marry again

Sir Paul McCartney will marry his fiance, Nancy Shevell, tomorrow in London hoping that it is a case of third time lucky.

Sir Paul McCartney will marry American heiress Nancy Shevell tomorrow according to multiple media sources.

Former Beatle McCartney, 69, has been involved with Shevell, 51, since 2007 when they were introduced by mutual friends and the pair were engaged in May of this year.

The couple's relationship has been very low key with few public appearances together, in contrast to Macca's notorious marriage to Heather Mills, which ended in high profile acrimony. His first wife, Linda, died of cancer in 1998.

The wedding will take place at Westminster Registry Office after the couple were given special dispensation by the council to marry on a Sunday. The reception will take place in McCartney's own back garden. In keeping with their relationship the wedding will be understated and low-key.

It is believed that the couple will honeymoon in the Caribbean later this month.

This is the Wings man's third marriage and, I'm sure he hopes, his last. Shevell is an entirely different personality from last wife Mills, who courted publicity and, eventually, controversy, dragging McCartney through the courts in an extremely bitter divorce.

Few who know McCartney doubt that he has, in Shevell, found the ideal woman for him at this stage of his life. Good luck to the happy couple.
