Portmeirion No6 Festival announces line-up

Voted the best newcomer festival last year at the Festival Awards, Portmeirion No.6 Festival has announced it's headlining acts for 2013. With the Manic Street Preachers topping the bill.



Festival No.6, which takes place in Portmeirion, North Wales, will see the Manic Street Preachers as the headlining band.

Voted last year as the best newcomer at the Festival Awards, the festival has also confirmed that AlunaGeorge and Laura Mvula, both finalists on the BBC's Sound of 2013 list, are also set to appear.

Joining these artists for the 2013 festival will be Everything Everything, James Blake, I Am Kloot and the Staves.

The festival which takes place in September will also have DJ sets from Gilles Peterson, Frankie Knuckles and Maxxi Soundsystem with many more listed and to be announced. 

Festival goers will also be treated to street theatre, comedy, film screenings, woodland trials, art and a pop-up theatre.

Set in the magical grounds of the amazing Italianate Village in North Wales designed by architect Sir clough Williams-Ellis, the village is famous for the location for the cult 60's television series The Prisoner. The name of the festival No.6 being a reference to the show.

This festival invites you to leave the real world and enter the fantasy world of No.6, 'a festival unlike any other in a place like no other'.

The stunning backdrop will be a breathtaking location for a festival promising to bring you and the village alive with electrifying live acts, comedy and all manner of performances including literature and talks from Times columnist Caitlin Moran.
