SUMMER STREET PARTY AT SPINNING GATE SHOPPING CENTRE

Spinning Gate Shopping Centre in Leigh Town Centre is ready for the summer!

The shopping centre have announced their free summer events program & you are all invited.

From Monday 8 until Sunday 28 August, the centre is providing a street party on the mall with lots of free events & entertainment for families during the school summer holidays.

The street party will be positioned outside Costa Coffee with white picket fencing, artificial grass, mini picnic benches, mini bean bags, decorated with festoon lighting and bunting, to welcome families to relax & take a break from shopping.

Each day, little ones will be entertained by the street party host, with lots of street party games like connect 4, noughts & crosses & hopscotch too. Colouring fun, puzzles, quizzes, story telling will all keep the little ones entertained.

Event staff will hand out free masks each Monday for children to colour & decorate. Tuesday's little ones are invited to bring their teddy bears to the street party & listen to teddy bear story time. Wednesday's will be word search fun. Thursdays are the best of British craft activities. Fridays children can enjoy our giant party games. Saturdays are for stencils & street party entertainment including giant union jack stilt walker will be ready for photo opportunities with shoppers, a union jack juggler and a union jack ribbon dancer will entertain the shoppers too.

Each Sunday the street party will provide free soft play sessions for the little ones to enjoy.

When visiting the street party, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Spinning Gate Centre Manager Karen Cox, said:

"We can't wait to provide lots of free family fun this summer for our shoppers. We have decorated the centre with union jack bunting ready for the arrival of our Spinning Gate Summer Street party. With the cost of living crisis, we all need to watch the pennies and tighten our belts. Here at Spinning Gate we are providing free events & activities for 3 weeks during the school summer holidays for everyone to enjoy. Join us in centre this summer for our free family fun."

Spinning Gate which has 39 stores within 110,000sq ft of retail space in Leigh Town Centre, runs in parallel with the high street Bradshawgate and Spinning Jenny Way. The centre is open Monday - Saturday: 9am - 5.30pm and Sundays 10am - 4pm. Shoppers can enjoy free weekend parking on the Spinning Gate shopper car park.
