SoCiMa is changing the way you’re cinematic experience is enjoyed from unsociable singular experience to an interactive thought provoking cinematic extravaganza.



Opening with Social Networks, Friend, Follower or Foe? on Saturday 28th February at Dyson Building, Royal College of Arts. Debate and decide the right and wrongs, the truth and lies of social networks.

Founders Learoy and Zoe Ellis-Moore said SoCiMa SoCietY challenges the ideal of clich cinemas with the aim of enriching cinema experience, through interaction with others SoCiMables (aka attendees) by exploring, challenging and debating different points of view, in order to recognise and embrace issues presented through the channel of cinematics.

Social Cinematics (SoCiMa) Ltd is company founded by husband and wife Learoy and Zoe Ellis-Moore, whose mission is “Socialisation through visualisation”; through events based around films and documentaries around social issues, each screening includes pre-show and wrap –up debate. SoCiMa aims to deliver socialisation, by Engagement, Enrichment and Enlightenment by brings together a diverse set of minds. Where participants called “SoCiMables” engage with each other, creating an enriched and unique visual experience, producing and enlighten from wider comprehension and sense of society.
