UB40 gig makes fan's ear bleed

A fan has complained that a UB40 gig was so loud that it made her ear bleed.

It has been claimed that the band's concert at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge on Monday was so loud that one fan said that her ear started to bleed. Another said that the noise levels were so high that it caused "altering heart rhythms" at the gig.

The band's spokesman apologised, and that he was "sorry that Anna's night was spoiled".

In defense, he also said that no-one had told the band's crew that the music was too loud on the night itself. He had also spoken to the affected fan after the concert and had apologised to her, offering VIP tickets by way of apology.

The venue's spokesman said that they operate within "strict health and safety guidelines", and that ear plugs are available to fans.
