Will Kate Middleton opt for gas and heir? NEWS

Will Kate Middleton opt for gas and heir?

Kate Middleton must be getting hot and bothered as she awaits the arrival of her new royal baby, which is now 2 days late. Odds are on there way up for an announcement later today as speculation grows that there could be a birth later this evening. (15 July 2013)

The royal baby was due on Saturday 13 July, but the date has now passed and speculation is growing for an announcement later this afternoon.

If the baby is born today, then he/she will share their date with painter Rembrandt, actor Forest Whitaker and singer Linda Ronstadt.

The baby will also share the date with Camille Kelly Gottlieb, the daughter of Princess Stephanie of Monaco on 15 July 1998.

It is more than likely that the new royal will be born before the 22 July, which means that their star sign will be Cancer, meaning that the heir will be homely, caring, compassionate but very moody.

Now that Kate is overdue, there is a good chance that the baby will be born before Wednesday, as the uncomfortable hot weather means that Kate could end up being induced into labour.

With the UK baking in this heat, the nation has gone mad with baby fever. According to the Express newspaper over £10,000 is being staked every day for the royal baby news betting, including what Kate's sister Pippa will wear to the hospital when she visits.

William is expected to be at his wife's side during the labour, and has taken extra steps to make sure that he will be. A helicopter has been placed on standby in his garden to make sure that he's flown straight to London when Kate finally goes into labour.

It has been calculated that William could fly the chopper 288 miles from Anglesey, North Wales to London in just 90 minutes.

The media have been assembling outside St Marys hospital all weekend, but we will not be told the sex of the heir until a notice has been posted on a special easel behind the gates of Buckingham Palace.

The world awaits the news of the century and the birth of a new royal heir to the throne.
