When it comes to popular singers in the Philipines during the 1990s, Marcus Adoro is one that definitely stood out. His band the Eraserheads spearheaded much of the alternative rock scene in the area for many years, and went on to have a very successful career. The band was somewhat unconventional in their use of synthesizers and other electronic instruments, while this was not unheard of at the time it was somewhat avant garde. Marcus Adoro went on to create other music projects such as Markus Highway that had an emphasis on surfing. One of his favorite pass times, Marcus did not hesitate to attempt to draw attention to the sport he loved so much. The Philippines still love the singer quite a bit, and one of the country's major record labels is hinting at a come back. Whether or not his career re-vitalization will prove to be successful is anyone's guess.
