Though started as a theatre-inclined collegiate at the Wesleyan University, this girl shines with glamour as a star in the music since the early 1980's, to date.

Before turning into Brechtian punk style carabet for the Dresden Dolls duo as a lyricist, composer, pianist and lead singer, she was the founder of Shadowbox Collective, which happened to be a group that had organized and performed a variety of classic street theatre. Moving forward to the early days of 2000 was when she got in acquaintance with a superbly skilled drummer, Brian Viglione and that then marked the beginning of the Dresden Dolls. Since that time, they have been going on tour not only in the UK, but throughout the United States as well as some countries in Asia. In 2008 was probably the biggest break that Amanda made with the release of Who Killed Amanda, a solo album where she collaborated with Ben Folds who helped not only produce the album, but also performed in it.In 2012, Amanda Palmer is currently having her studio album on a working progress, Theater is Evil and will be showcasing a major performance prior to the launch.
