A fusion of different styles, Angels and Airwaves are an alternative rock band formed in 2005 under the direction of former Blink-182 front man, Tom Delonge. A super group in every sense of the word, Angels and Airwaves consists of guitarist/vocalist Tom Delonge (formerly of Blink-182), guitarist David Kennedy (formerly of Boxcar Racer and Over Her Dead Body), bassist Matt Matt Rachter (formerly of 30 Seconds to Mars) and drummer Ilan Rubin (formerly of Nine Inch Nails and Lost Prophets). Their unique genre-bending sound combines Tom Delonge's typical brand of punk rock with the reverb drenched guitars and anthemic instrumentation of U2 or Pink Floyd. Since their inception Angels and Airwaves have been through a variety of line-up changes and have released a number of successful albums, the most recent of which being the two sibling albums, Love and Love II. Angels and Airwaves are currently on a world tour that will take them from America to Australia and eventually Europe.
