Formed in New York in 1987, Biohazard is considered one of the first bands to combine elements of hip hop with heavy metal and hard-core punk. They are famous for their hard-edged lyrics about crime, life on the street and anti-racism. Their vocals were divided between bassist Evan Seinfeld and guitarist Billy Graziadei. They had been inactive as a
band between 2005 and 2008, while all the members worked on other projects. In 2008 they returned with the original line-up and toured New Zealand and Australia as a supporting act for Korn, along with Bloodsimple, Throwdown, and Chimaira. They also participated in the Persistence Tour 2009; it was during this time that they announced that they would be working on a new album. The album Reborn In Defiance, produced by Toby Wright was released on January 20th 2012 through Nuclear Blast Records in Europe and is the last to feature all the founding members as Evan Seinfeld has officially left and been
replaced by Scott Roberts. They are co-headlining a tour with Suicidal Tendencies in the UK towards the end of January 2012.
