Blood red shoes are an angsty alternative rock duo from Brighton, made up of punk-inspired members Steven Ansell and Laura-Mary Carter.

The pair rocketed to fame in 2008 after the release of their standout debut album 'box of secrets'. They have spent most of 2011 writing and recording songs for their exciting new album 'In time to voices', as well as playing a series of summer festivals.Their jerky punk rock sound has given them a solid reputation for amazing live performances. In the past they have supported big names like biffy Clyro, Panic at The Disco, Maximo Park, and Rage Against the Machine, where they were able to rock large venues with just a guitar and drum kit.Blood red shoes have ambitious UK, European, and worldwide tours set for the near future which are sure to be edgy, stripped-down show stoppers. The group are certainly on track to enjoy a busy year.
