Like most bands, Canterbury was formed by four young musicianswho met in school and shared their passion and love for music.

Formed in 2005, the band's lineup currently consists of bassist and vocalist Luke Prebble, vocalist and guitarist Mike Sparks, guitarist James Pipe and Scott Peters on drums. The group, however, only took the band more seriously after leaving school in 2007 when they began touring tirelessly across UK and Ireland and promoting themselves through social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook.The group focused on writing songs during their remaining years of education which eventually became their first album after four years. The album entitled "Thank You" was released subsequently to the launch of their website wherein listeners can download the album for free. On its first three days of release, the album was downloaded over 3000 times.With sweeter harmonies and catchy melodies, the band's second studio album Heavy in The Day was again greeted warmly with critics and listeners. Released in July 2012, the album has shamelessly conquered the British pop punk and rock music scene - again.
