Ian Gillan, Steve Morse, Roger Glover, Ian Paile and Don Aivey are the current line-up of 'Deep Purple'. Their career has spanned two periods of success 1968-76 and 1984 (reunion) – the present day. Famed for their hard rock/heavy metal sound, they have won the Guinness World Record for being 'the loudest pop group'! They are one of the world's hardest touring bands with 25 tours under their belt from 1968-2005 and 18 studio albums. Their latest album was 'Rapture of the Deep' in 2005 and they have a 2010 (no. 26!) tour in progress.
