Fresh off his NAACP Award for Best Jazz Album for Guitar Man, 10 time Grammy winner and legendary guitarist George Benson is bringing his jazzy style across the pond. A singer, songwriter, composer and guitarist of unparalled skill and talent, George Benson is not to be missed by jazz enthusiasts. Benson, who began playing soul jazz with Jack McDuff in the 60's, has been known to alternate between pop, jazz, and R&B as well as dabbling on Broadway. In his over four decade career, he has recorded 35 studio albums; six live albums as well as three music DVD's.
No stranger to the jazz community, Benson's breakthrough hit song "Give Me The Night" (produced by powerhouse and friend Quincy Jones) propelled him onto the pop/R&B scene. In 2009 Benson received the nation's highest honor in jazz when he became a "Jazz Master" awarded by the National Endowment of the Arts. Benson has been using Ibanez guitars for over 30 years.
