Gervase Phinn, born 1946 is one of South Yorkshire's most beloved personalities.

Ex teacher and school inspector turned author, he writes of his experiences of Yorkshire life and comic memories of his time in schools. He is famed also for his interest in Children's literature and as a lively and entertaining public speaker. Gervase Phinn's autobiographical writings span 5 volumes, he has appeared on both TV's 'Esther' and 'The Heaven and Earth Show' and recently became even more of a household name after publishing 'A Wayne In A Manger', his hilarious take on primary school nativity productions.
