Well Hadouken gets two thumbs up before you even hear the music for naming their project off of a special move from the classic video game Street Fighter.

This good taste goes far beyond a name, as James Smith (the brains behind Hadouken's musical madness) hits us with a hypnotic blend of the best of rave, punk and dance that's impossible not to fall in love with.Hadouken got their start in 2007 when James and his girlfriend pooled their considerable talent and put out a two song vinyl single. This grabbed some significant attention, including Mike Skinner of the Streets who made a point of playing Hadouken on his radio D.J. sets. Two albums and a kick ass mix tape "Not Here To Please You" followed as their sound moved deeper and deeper into dance but still with that punk edge that makes them so unique.Signing to Ministry of Sound, Hadouken has put together their third album Every Weekend and are planning on making the U.K. club and festival scene get popping with their infectious grooves. Can this be the rebirth of fun, no judgment dance music fused with a indie spirit? We can only hope.
