The legendary Isle of Wight Festival has been entertaining music fans since 1968, although no events were staged between 1970-2002.

Part of the festival's appeal is that it attracts a variety of popular international artists including Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, Foofighters, The Who and Jay Z. Even Sir Paul McCartney has made an appearence.Each year thousands of tourists descend on Seaclose Park, the temporary home of the Isle of Wight Festival. Most opt for a traditional festival experience and hire or supply their own tent. If you're not keen to pitch your own tent, the festival has a variety of tents and campervans set up for hire. Children and families are welcome at this event, but you'll have to get in quick if you want to book a family tent, as they sell out prior to the event each year.
