Mazzy Star Tickets

Known for their subdued and hypnotic music, this prominent alternative rock band from the 1990s created a buzz last fall by announcing the planned release of their first new material in fifteen years. Mazzy Star, composed of vocalist Hope Sandoval and guitarist David Roback, released three albums in the early to mid-1990s, including, "So Tonight That I Might See", which achieved platinum status in 1995. The two continued to tour occasionally until the year 2000, after which they each became involved in separate projects. Sandoval teamed up with Colm O Coisoig to form "Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions", and the duo released two critically acclaimed albums in the 2000s. Roback acted in the 2004 film "Clean", which also featured three songs he had written and produced. In October of 2011 came the sudden, long-awaited announcement that they had reunited and were releasing two new singles that very month, followed by a tour and a full album in 2012. Fans of Mazzy Star's unique style will have much to look forward to this year.
