Michael Schenker is a living legend in classic metal and hard rock.

German-born and mentored from an early age by his elder brother and similarly talented guitarist, Rudolf Schenker, (who grew to stardom with the Scorpions), Michael Schenker, showed a natural brilliance with the six-string and a scoresheet that earned him a spot touring and recording with the Scorpions in the early 1970s. But his stint with the band was short-lived, as his exceptional talent on the guitar soon stole the attention of British metal band, UFO. Schenker brought a fiercer guitar sound to the band, and their popularity grew throughout the 70s. Schenker left UFO in '79 to revisit the Scorpions, but ultimately formed his own band: The Michael Schenker Group or MSG. His solo work has had relative success in both Europe and the USA. This fall Schenker will join and tour with bandmates from the Scorpions, UFO and MSG for his "Temple of Rock" tour. Expect more than a little head-banging and some incredible riffs on Schenker's iconic black and white V guitar.
