Morten Harket, frontman of the band a-ha, is a Norwegian singer who’s topped the charts in multiple countries. Harket has also released several solo albums. A-ha was formed in 1982, and the band members left Norway behind to try to make it big in London. A-ha hired Terry Slater and John Ratcliff as dual band managers. Before becoming famous with a-ha, Harket sang blues for Souldier Blue on the Oslo club scene.
To write songs for his 2012 album, Harket collaborated with Kent, a band from Sweden; Pet Shop Boys; Will Young; and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy. Produced by Steve Osborn, the album will be released in South America, Eastern Europe and Western Europe by Starwatch/Universal Germany.
In spring of 2012, Harket will tour Europe and South America to promote his new album. Accompanied by Erik Ljunggren, Dan Sunhordvik and Karl Oluf Wennerberg, Harket will be performing some of his solo work along with music by a-ha.
