Richard Alston Tickets

Richard Alston is quite simply one of the most musical choreographers in the world - every step he makes lives and breathes the music he chooses.

This season, his company's programme features music by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, minimalist icon Steve Reich and modern American composer Ned Rorem.

Alston's contemporary classic ROUGHCUT is danced to the peals of Steve Reich's shimmering New York and Electric Counterpoints for clarinet and guitar. Made in 1990, and a hit ever since, the piece is an euphoric display of pure energy.
