Formed in Berlin in 2004, The BossHoss has a Country & Western style which they affectionately term "Country Trash Punk Rock." They perform originals as well as reinvented cover versions of famous rock, pop and hip hop songs such as Nelly's "Hot in Herre", Outkast's "Hey Ya" and Cameo's "Word Up".
The band is ridiculously entertaining; incorporating American cowboy stereotypical customs and behaviors into their act. It is not uncommon to see huge Stetson hats, western shirts, fringed vests and whiskey bottles; all done in a southern drawl with the occasional "yeehaw" thrown in for good measure.
While Boss Hoss credits their moniker to the 1965 hit "Boss Hoss" by The Sonics; all one needs to do is listen to any true western legend such as Merle Haggard, Hank Williams or Waylon Jennings to hear the word "Hoss" widely used as a term for a big southern man with friendly ways.
The Boss Hoss "Liberty of Action" Tour kicks off in March 2012 with several stops in the UK for the "Liberty of Europe" Tour.
