The Cureheads are a tribute band for the famous group The Cure. They are made up of members from various countries, although they were originally solely from London and had formed in 1990, first playing in Stockholm, Sweden. The current members were from various Goth rock bands.
The band's intention is to recreate not only the sound of The Cure, but also their style, stage presence and concert stylings. They have toured extensively all over the US, UK, Europe and South America, pulling from their set list spanning all recorded tracks from The Cure. They describe the music as gothic, grunge and new wave.
The Cure rarely tours anymore, but The Cureheads fill the void remarkably well, right down to the dynamic and interactive light show. The Cureheads "The Chardonnay Sometimes Tour" will happen this summer in the UK, celebrating 21 years together and will play old and new numbers with a light show and background video.
