Jay Wayne Jenkins, better known as Young Jeezy, was born on October 12th 1977. From the moment he was born he was destined for fame as a rapper. He first put pen to the paper as a rapper back in 2001, which was also when he released his first independent album, "Thuggin' Under the Influence". This album was releases under his original stage name, Lil J. He also released another independent album under this name in 2003. In 2004 he made a huge leap in his career by signing with Bad Boy Records. Immediately after he signed with Bad Boy Records he joined the hip hop group "Boyz n da Hood". In 2005 Young Jeezy set out on his solo career and has released four full-length studio albums since then. In the entirety of his career, Young Jeezy has released: four full-length studio albums, eighteen singles, forty music videos, eleven mix tapes, and two independent albums. When discussing hip hop, Young Jeezy is a name that can't be left out.
