Kings Road, Harrogate, Yorkshire HG15LAHarrogate International Centre is a state of the art conference and exhibition centre and an impressive events venue that has been hosting national and international events since opening in 1982. Sitting in the heart of this beautiful spa town the HIC is the third largest integrated venue in the UK, beaten in size only by the SECC in Glasgow and Alexandra Palace in London.
The Harrogate International Centre offers an incredible 16,500m² of exhibition space over eight halls, with a conference auditorium seating 2,000 and the Edwardian Royal Hall providing room for 1,000 guests. Such is the popularity of the HIC both in terms of facilities and location, that more than 300 high profile national and international conferences are held there every year. Just as importantly the Royal Hall has, over the years, featured some of the greatest names in music and entertainment, from Elgar to the Beatles, from Ike and Tina Turner to Van Morrisson. It has also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest and a plethora of legendary British entertainers from Ken Dodd to Jasper Carrot, David Attenborough to Jimmy Tarbuck to Lenny Henry and some of the world’s most renowned performers of classical music and opera.
It is little surprise that the HIC is one of the UK’s most charming and most popular venues, set amongst Harrogate’s grand boulevards, distinctive architecture, café-lined streets and charming boutiques. With Harrogate sitting on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and half way between London and Edinburgh this is a town and venue that is one of the most desirable places to visit in all of the UK.
