THE WORKSHOP:
In this session, we’ll explore the world of Gothic fiction, taking in the classics that made the form what it is through the current resurgent wave within the genre. Exploring some of the key tropes and assets of the Gothic, we’ll be serving up advice and guidance along with creative exercises to get those darker stories going!
THE TUTOR:
Alex Davis a writer, tutor, lecturer and events organiser based in Derby. He has been teaching creative writing in a range of capacities for 15 years, and has been a lecturer at the University of Derby for the last five years. He is currently working towards his PHD and working extensively on a series of online and in-person writing events, including the third running of the UK Ghost Story Festival in February 2023.

The workshop will take place on Zoom. Our Zoom account is connected to Eventbrite - Eventbrite will send you the event page prior to the event via your email.
As always the Zoom call will be recorded and sent with worksheets to all ticket holders after the event. So, if you're going to miss the show, don't miss out - buy a ticket now and watch it later!
